Our intensive trauma-focused therapy is proven-effective and focuses on deep healing. We have found that intensive trauma-focused therapy is more efficient than weekly hourly therapy. Often weekly hourly therapy focuses on your symptoms and coping skills such as yoga, mindfulness, biofeedback, DBT, etc. Our intensive trauma therapy focuses on healing the underlying trauma and giving you profound and lasting relief. We use the most efficient of the proven-effective trauma healing therapies: eye movement desensitization & reprocessing (EMDR) and progressive counting (PC). Our founder and executive director, Ricky Greenwald, PsyD, is a leading expert in EMDR, and the developer of PC as well as our intensive therapy model. All of our therapists are extensively trained, supervised, and experienced in intensive trauma therapy. Intensive trauma therapy has lasting results.
We offer intensive therapy, in which you work individually with your therapist for full (9:00-4:00 or equivalent) consecutive days. Our treatment generally takes a few days to a couple of weeks. You will be your therapist's only client for the duration of your treatment. Research has found intensive trauma-focused therapy to be among the most effective and efficient formats.
