Adult & Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Treatment
At the Refuge, we provide intensive outpatient services for both adults and adolescents. We provide co-occurring treatment, serving both the mental health and substance use. The Refuge is more than a treatment center; it’s an experience aimed at changing lives through personal empowerment and self-transcendence. We offer individualized, professional care that dives deep into the philosophy of the mind, encouraging clients to take charge of their healing journey. Our focus extends to families and relationships, providing a guilt-free and supportive environment that aids in long-term recovery. The Refuge stands as a haven where the doors are always open for ongoing support, making lifelong recovery not just a possibility but a reality. Adult & Adolescent IOP Programs
Adult Treatment: Our Intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults treats substance use disorders along with co-occuring mental health issues. Studies show that IOP programs are as effective as inpatient treatment for most individuals seeking care. Our IOP offers creative programming, such as skills labs, yoga, polyvagal approaches, expressive therapies and case management. As a level of care, IOP provides 9 clinical hours per week as well as individual therapy, case management and if needed, family therapy. Adolescent Treatment: During this Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), your teen can continue to attend school during the day, with IOP sessions in the afternoon/evening. As a level of care, adolescents are provided 6 clinical hours per week. IOP at The Refuge integrates mental health and substance misuse. Similar to our adult programming, adolescent IOP includes breakout groups, yoga, skills labs, expressive therapy and builds connection with Refuge community. When Seeking Refuge is Overwhelming...
Whether it's needing more than outpatient treatment or aftercare from residential treatment, asking for help is overwhelming. It's widely known that IOP is often a level of care overlooked, as clients are eager to return to school and work. Statistically, clients who participate in the full length of IOP treatment have improved distress tolerance, fewer substance use relapses and more. The IOP programs at The Refuge utilize evidence-based methods and are patient-centered. We integrate the use of psychoeducation, break-out groups, and hands-on activities to create an interactive environment.
