Residential Treatment
At The Refuge, A Healing Place, we provide residential programming for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorders, eating disorders, and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and self-harming behaviors. Treatment in our adult residential program typically lasts a minimum of 30 days, but a client's unique needs and circumstances determine their actual length of stay. Clients in residential treatment receive personalized care to aid in their healing journeys. Treatment is delivered by an expert team that is comprised of counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, registered dietitians, medical doctors, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, equine therapists, and certified trauma therapists. We strive to treat clients with empathy and respect while encouraging them to pursue happier, healthier lives. Treatment Approach
At our treatment center, we believe in a personalized approach to care. Prior to your admission, our dedicated team will guide you through a comprehensive assessment process to better understand your symptoms, medical history, and therapeutic goals. The information you provide us with will help us develop a customized treatment plan that will inform your time in treatment. Your treatment plan may include basic medical care, medication management services, and detoxification. Additionally, clients have the opportunity to engage in various therapeutic activities, all overseen by our skilled staff. Group therapy is a central component of our residential program, and daily sessions are designed to provide support and encourage personal growth. The Refuge, A Healing Place is a mental health, addiction, and eating disorder treatment center located on 96 acres in Ocklawaha, Florida. Clients reside in newly renovated cabins and can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Clients have access to a pool, a volleyball court, canoes, paddleboards, horseback riding, and ropes courses. Our campus offers a safe and welcoming space for adults who are in crisis and suffering from symptoms that are affecting their health and happiness. Before entering our residential treatment program, a client completes a comprehensive assessment with one of our admissions coordinators. This assessment can help us learn more about the client's current mental health needs, medical history, and therapeutic goals. Our full continuum of care includes detoxification services, residential treatment, and outpatient programming.
