When postpartum feels bigger than you expected

The Postpartum Den provides perinatal mental health care in Nashville, with options that match different levels of support and needs. We are one of the few specialized perinatal intensive outpatient programs in the country for for mothers who need a higher frequency of care. We also offer clinical specialty outpatient group therapy for new moms, NICU moms and those with birth trauma. Our LCSWs also provide individual and partner or couples sessions.

Babies welcome in sessions

A key feature of our program is allowing mothers to bring their infants up to 9 months. This maintains the mother-baby bond but while reducing this common barrier to treatment. By providing immediate, on-site care, our approach is practical and focused, designed to address the immediate needs of mothers while keeping them close to their infants.

Exclusively perinatal mental health

We focus exclusively on perinatal mental health. That means that you aren't interfacing with anyone else except moms like you and therapists who specialize in pregnancy and postpartum. You can expect a comfortable, private space and effective therapy to bring you relief.

If you’re in the NICU, you shouldn’t be alone in it. This is a small, online 6 week group for Tennessee NICU moms led by licensed clinicians, built for the reality of the NICU: fear, exhaustion, guilt, grief, and uncertainty. You’ll get weekly clinical support, practical tools for stress and anxiety, connection with other NICU moms, help planning for discharge and home.
