Our nursing staff has earned three consecutive Pathways to Excellence designations, the first independent psychiatric hospital to do so. Menninger offers comprehensive outpatient and inpatient assessments for all ages, specialty hospital programs plus transitional and outpatient services. Using these four gold-standard assessments, adult patients report that their mental health symptoms improved while being treated at Menninger and that they maintained these gains throughout their first year after discharge. Evidence-based therapies and genetic testing for medications allow personalized treatment. Many patients have not made desired progress from previous hospitalizations and multiple caregivers, and experience severe depression, anxiety, trauma or personality disorders, substance use, self-harm or suicidal thoughts. Our faculty and staff focus on improving the patient's life-medically, psychologically and socially. Our psychiatrist-led clinical teams welcome each patient as an active participant. Together they identify and address the patient's core issues through comprehensive assessments and the prescribed mixture of group, family and individual therapy. Equally important to attaining goals is providing a safe, reflective and supportive healing environment. Most programs capitalize on the value of peer-to-peer interactions as well as the patient-clinician therapeutic relationship. Each program integrates substance use and addictive behavior treatment as well as evidence-based therapies such as DBT, CBT, ACT and mentalization-based therapy (MBT). Treatment outcome assessments help the patient and team monitor progress and adjust treatment. Individual counseling, eating disorders support, genetic testing, pastoral counseling, fitness and nutritional counseling, and family work also personalize treatment. Our intensive day program, in-home and outpatient services help patients continue making strides in managing symptoms, stress and relationships for independent living. Programs And Services

Assessments: Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessment Service (inpatient) for adults, Adolescent Program (IP, IOP, PHP) and 4.5-day Outpatient Assessments, all ages. Specialty Inpatient Services: Compass Program, ages 18-30 and Adult Treatment Program. Physicians are from Baylor College of Medicine. Psychiatric and internal specialists are on staff. Majority of services are provided on a 50-acre two-year-old urban campus, with array of amenities, just minutes from nation's largest medical complex, Texas Medical Center. Community Re-integration Day Programs: Pathfinder for adults includes mentored apartment living for 24/7 support and Menninger 360 offers in-home/in-community team treatment for adults with complex disorders. Outpatient Services: Recovery IOP for adults, Navigator case management service, ECT, TMS, ketamine therapy, counseling and psychiatric services, and medication management, ages 6 and up; individual, couples and family therapy. Gathering Place offers adults free support for independent living. Accepting Aetna, Cigna and Magellan for adult and adolescent short-term stabilization, IOP and adolescent day treatment only.
