The Forge School, Residential Treatment For Boys

The Forge School is a highly specialized, licensed, residential treatment program for teen boys and their families located in Benton, TN. Part of Embark Behavioral Health, The Forge and its employees stand together to lead the way in helping take anxiety, depression and suicide from the all-time highs of today to all-time lows in 2028. The Forge School was specifically created to meet the emotional and neurobiological needs of teen boys. The Forge School treats students ages 14-17. A typical student profile is a young man who is struggling with impulsivity, trauma, mood dysregulation and/or substance use (including frequent diagnoses of ODD, ADD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression) and those who have strained relationships within their family system and at school. Our mission and purpose is to bring maverick joy and healing through our specialized CASA treatment model and shared experiences of attunement in these relationships. The Forge School provides a combination of empathetic therapy, exceptional outdoor adventure therapy and rigourous academics to help our students heal and grow into resilient future leaders.

Educating The Male Brain Through Repetitive Action

The Forge School is the first program of its kind to not only address the unique needs of boys and young men, but has been designed to accommodate both long and short-term care needs with the ability to utilize healthcare insurance benefits. The Forge School has three pillars to treatment: empathetic individual and family counseling, Cognia accredited educational rigor and extraordinary outdoor experiences. The Forge School encourages students to continually test their skills and to push forward regardless of perceived success or failure, which builds resilience and grit. We are proud that Dr. Michael Gurian, a leader in the minds of boys, has been on this journey with us since the beginning and is a Co-Developer of The Forge School curriculum and Master Treatment Plan. Dr. Gurian is on campus four times a year for our family programs and is deeply connected to the program consulting with staff and our full time Psychiatrist, Dr. Cassandra Simms.
