Individual, Couple, & Family Therapy Center
At the CFTC, we offer affordable, high-quality therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Care at our center is based on a systemic approach that addresses the concerns people bring into therapy within the context of their relationships. We encourage people to include family members or significant others in therapy in order to gather as much information as possible about the difficulties you’re facing, and to create a supportive context for lasting change. We offer support for people experiencing a wide range of concerns, including family challenges, parenting issues, depression, anxiety, divorce, trauma, communication problems, anger management, sex and sexuality concerns, grief and loss, religious and spiritual struggles, and couple/relationship issues. We are also deeply concerned about the impact of COVID-19 and continued violence against people of color and work with our students to provide therapy that is inclusive of clients from all backgrounds and identities.
About Our Therapists
All therapists have bachelor’s degrees and are in the final year of their graduate program in Marriage and Family Therapy. The faculty who supervise students are all Washington licensed MFT practitioners, with additional credentials as clinical supervisors.
Fees and Scheduling Appointments
We are committed to supporting social equity through widened access to affordable therapy. We currently offer teletherapy and in-person therapy options to individuals, couples, and families around Washington state. Costs of visits is determined by a sliding scale based on your household’s gross monthly income and the number of people in your household, with fees from $5 - $50 per session. The CFTC does not accept medical coupons or other forms of insurance. All payments are processed by credit card through our HIPPA-compliant teletherapy service. To schedule an appointment, call the CFTC at 253-535-8782, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. We are unable to respond to emails, so please call the number above instead. We will ask you for general information about you and your household. Your therapist will then call you to set up your first appointment and to answer any questions you may have. Therapists are available to meet with you through teletherapy during the day or evening (Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). Take the first step to help.
