The BridgeWay Hospital

Founded in 1983, The BridgeWay offers a continuum of services designed to help children (ages 4-12), adolescents (13-17), and adults of all ages who are experiencing those behavioral, emotional, or addictive problems that can lead to fractured lives. Our team of mental health professionals includes board-certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrists, master’s-level clinical therapists, and nurses and mental health associates who are here to help people reconnect with their families, friends, and employers so that they may lead productive lives. Since mental health issues occur across a spectrum, from mild to severe, we tailor our services for each person. Our programs are based upon the concept that each person has an inherent capacity to learn and grow, and are designed to meet the unique needs of each person and family. With each program, we offer diagnostic and evaluation services, medication management, individual, family, and group therapy, recreational therapy, dietary services, case management, and discharge planning.

Programs and Services for Children & Adolescents

The BridgeWay offers a dedicated 24-bed program for the inpatient treatment of children ages 4-12 and adolescents 13-17 with behavioral issues. The National Institute for Mental Health reports that mental health is an essential part of overall health for children and adults. For many adults with mental disorders, symptoms were present—but often not recognized or addressed—in childhood and adolescence. For a young person with symptoms of mental disease, the earlier treatment starts, the more effective it can be. Early treatment can help prevent more severe, lasting problems as a child grows up.

Programs and Services for Adults 18 and older

Acute inpatient care for mood disorders. Acute inpatient care for thought disorders. Acute inpatient care for substance use disorders including medical detoxification and acute rehabilitation. Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), inpatient, or outpatient. Partial Hospitalization for mood, thought or substance use disorders. Intensive Outpatient for mood, thought or substance use disorders.
