We provide inpatient care in a specialized, age-appropriate unit that is designed to support the unique needs of our older adult patients. Individualized treatment planning is an important part of the care experience at our treatment center. So when you take part in our senior programming, you will follow a unique treatment plan that includes the therapies and services that best reflect your therapeutic needs and goals. Inpatient stays at our hospital are short-term experiences that typically last about five to seven days depending on the person’s needs and progress. Each person leaves our hospital with a comprehensive discharge plan and referrals to help them continue making progress toward long-term healing.

Vertava Health Midtown Nashville Behavioral Health & Wellness Center include a curriculum of evidence-based therapies and programs several days a week depending on the specific needs of the patient. Patients will have the opportunity to meet regularly with their experienced therapist as well as participate in group work that will build up their support system.

Chattanooga Recovery Center not only offers addiction treatment, but we also offers treatment for primary mental health. Our team has the experience and knowledge to understand that oftentimes, drug and alcohol addiction are intertwined with mental illness. In fact, 1 in 4 adults with a mental illness also have a substance abuse disorder, and some studies show that as many as half of all individuals with drug or alcohol addictions also have a mental disorder of some kind. There are many reasons for this, and because the two are so closely tied together, it’s challenging to treat one issue without treating the other. Cumberland Heights’ Intensive Outpatient Program in Knoxville-Papermill is designed for people whose needs and schedules vary. A quality intensive outpatient drug and alcohol rehab program will be designed to treat the whole person, not just the addiction. Prior to enrollment in the program, all patients complete an admission process and receive orientation including a review of patient expectations, safety guidelines, and program components. During treatment each patient works closely with their counselor/case manager in planning treatment goals and developing an individualized treatment plan. The counselor coordinates and collaborates with referrals for ancillary health, vocational or psychological needs the patient may have.

Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with mental health disorders. This program is designed to help people who have developed anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health concerns, as well as those who have become addicted to alcohol or another drug. We make all admissions decisions on an individual basis, but in general, our IOP serves people who can benefit from structured clinical care but do not require round-the-clock support. This means that adults may step down to our IOP after completing an inpatient or residential program, or they may enter treatment with us directly at the IOP level. Flexible scheduling is one of the many features of our IOP. We offer three hours of care each day, with participants having the option of attending treatment three to five days per week. This approach allows people to learn new skills during treatment and practice them in a real-world environment during nontreatment hours. They can then process their experiences and receive feedback during their next session.
