Teens & Adolescent Residential Treatment Centers in Berwyn, PA

At Huntington Creek Recovery Center, located in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, we offer superior live-in treatment for young people. Our adolescent residential program is available for teens ages 13-18 who are suffering from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. Youths may enter the program directly or as a step-down to a less restrictive level of care from inpatient treatment. Our comprehensive residential addiction treatment program is tailored to the needs of each client so that they can get the most out of their time with us. Through age-appropriate services, we can help adolescents build a solid foundation for recovery and improve their communication, coping, and social skills. Our team aims to provide adolescents in our program with treatment that meets them where they are on their recovery journeys. We achieve this by taking the time to get to know each client and better understand the unique challenges they are facing. Each client’s program duration is determined on an individual basis. While the average length of stay in our residential program is 30 days, we offer extended care as needed.

Center for Families (CFF), a valued member of the Newport Healthcare family of programs, provides guidance, awareness, and education for families in local communities around mental health and substance use struggles. We lead teens ages 13-17 and families to sustainable healing through a continuum of care that includes our Therapeutic Day Program/PHP, Intensive Outpatient Program, and outpatient services. In CFF’s treatment programs, teens begin to build strong relationships, learn and practice healthy coping skills, grow their personal self-worth, and reestablish trust and communication with themselves and their loved ones. Our approach blends behavioral and medical treatment (integrated care) and provides both clinical and experiential modalities (integrative care). Each of our treatment programs encompasses evidence-based and solutions-focused components. Through support groups, clinical therapy, and psychoeducation, we involve the entire family in the healing journey - creating connection, cultivating compassion, igniting hope, and generating lasting change.

We are a system of 8 drug & alcohol treatment centers that help both adolescents and adults recover from substance abuse and dependence. 5 of our sites offer co-occurring (drug/alcohol and mental health) treatment. Evolve offers evidence-based treatment to adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, self-harm or high-risk behaviors, suicidal ideation, and other mental health/behavioral issues. Our residential treatment center in Los Angeles offers a warm, accepting environment where teens can stabilize and learn practical ways to improve their emotion regulation, impulse control, and distress tolerance skills. Teens participate in individual/family therapy multiple times a week, psychiatry sessions weekly, and daily groups on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, and Seeking Safety. Families from out-of-state participate in family therapy remotely. Our focus is on Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy integrated with experiential therapies (equine-assisted therapy, art, surfing, music, drama, yoga, fitness, and more). We also provide daily academic support to help your child stay on track with school.
