For those suffering with addiction and dual-diagnosis issues, our staff at Northern Illinois Recovery possesses over 100 years of collective experience of client-centered care in a safe and friendly environment to foster not only the beginning but sustained recovery and well-being. We treat with compassion those that have had limited treatment episodes, and are equally effective with clients that have had prolonged struggles with maintaining sobriety. Northern Illinois Recovery typically is a 90-day structured program but offers flexibility with programming and length of stay. Having strong ties with employers and schools (both academic and vocational), we strongly encourage our clients to take advantage of these opportunities when it is the clinically indicated right time to make that step. Furthermore, NIR has a great staff to client ratio better than 1:1, allowing clients to “open up” in both small group and individual settings to achieve clarity in the past and direction for the future. Evolve’s residential treatment center offers compassionate, evidence-based treatment to adolescents ages 12-17 struggling with mental health, substance use, and/or behavioral issues. Many of our teens have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, trauma, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, conduct disorder, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, and suicidal ideation. Our handpicked treatment team consists of board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, licensed therapists, on-site nurses, Master’s-level residential counselors and 24-hour support staff. We utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) integrated with experiential therapies (e.g. equine-assisted therapy, mindfulness, surfing, music, art, drama, fitness, yoga and more). Teens participate in individual/family therapy at least five times a week, psychiatry sessions once a week, and daily groups on DBT Skills, Anger Management, Seeking Safety, and Relapse Prevention. For out-of-state families, we conduct family therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant video conference. We also provide daily academic support to help your adolescent stay on track with school.

Calo Programs offers residential treatment for adolescents and teens that is uniquely focused and specially equipped to treat students and families impacted by traumatic experiences which occurred in the developmental period, such as adoption, chronic stress, and inconsistent care from caregivers.
