Substance Abuse Medical Detox
It is Summer House's passion to provide a superior substance abuse detox facility, treating adults, suffering from the disease of addiction, alcoholism and/or other chemical dependencies. Summer House has been doing this since 1996. Our detox is a private 24 bed inpatient facility. Psychiatrists, MD's, APNP's, 2 nurses a shift, 24/7,Psychologist, LMHW, LMSW, Addiction Counselors and Behavioral Techs are closely involved in the treatment planning for each patient. We are in network with most major insurance companies.
Components
It is our commitment to treat patients with compassion while promoting dignity and self-esteem. We offer 15 weekly group activities, average time of 50 to 90 minutes. Patients receive 2 one on one sessions weekly with addictions professionals, and daily groups. Acupuncture, Yoga, Tai Chi and 12 step meetings are added components to enhance patients detox. Patients enjoy the serenity lounge, which is a very effective for anxiety.
Comforts
Our food is raved about by patients, visitors and staff. We employee 2 4 star chefs, who were executive chefs at some of Miami's upscale restaurants. Fresh fruit bars daily for breakfast and lunch, and huge salad bars for lunch and dinners. Breakfast eggs and omelets your way, pancakes, sausage and bacon, you choose. Lunch and dinner are hot entrees, ranging from NY strip, beef tenderloins, crab cakes, salmon, shrimp, rack of lamb to taco day or pasta station, every dish made to order. Our beds are all memory foam, flat screens in every room, floor to ceiling marble baths in every room.
