Options Behavioral Health in Indianapolis, Indiana, provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults ages 18-65 who are suffering from mental health conditions such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), generalized anxiety disorder, depression, and co-occurring substance use concerns. Our IOP is ideal for individuals who have completed a higher level of care, like an inpatient treatment program, but can benefit from continued support. Adults who participate in the IOP at our hospital receive three hours of treatment, three days a week. Patients typically take part in our IOP for four to six weeks, but each person’s needs, progress, and goals determine their actual length of stay. Each adult in our IOP receives a personalized care plan that guides them through treatment. Patients participate in a variety of group therapies during each treatment day that cover topics relevant to adults, such as stress management techniques, relapse prevention strategies, self-care, forming healthy relationships, and psychoeducation.
