Addiction is a disease that holds no bias or prejudice - it affects all genders, races, religions, etc. But that doesn’t mean each gender benefits from similar treatment approaches. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Men and women have some inherent differences, which makes their experiences with drug and alcohol different as well. At Stonegate Center, we offer men's-only and women's-only addiction treatment facilities for substance abuse. Our goal as a healthcare provider is to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for each client. By having a separate campus for men and women, we are better able to address the underlying issues caused by addiction in addition to removing any potential for sexual tension. We strive to respect the relationships of our clients' families, friends, and spouses. And the best way to do that is through gender-separate entities.
