Adolescent Inpatient Treatment
At StoneCrest Center, we offer an adolescent inpatient program for youths ages 12-17 who have mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. Because young people are going through developmental changes, we believe that the most effective behavioral healthcare is age-specific. We strive to provide developmentally appropriate treatments and services that meet each young person where they are in their healing journey. During their time in our inpatient program, adolescent patients can participate in therapy sessions led by social workers and activity therapists. In group therapy sessions, youths get the chance to meet their peers and share support and encouragement. In these sessions, they can also receive education on topics such as trauma, coping skills, self-esteem, and healthy boundaries. Additionally, adolescent patients whose treatment plans include medication can receive daily medication management services from psychiatrists and nurses. Treatment Approach
Our board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) follow an evidence-based behavioral model to help our patients learn new skills that can improve their lives. BCBAs are master’s-level clinicians who provide patients with personalized care. Each person who participates in programming at our hospital completes a thorough evaluation designed to give our team insight into their background, symptoms, and therapeutic needs. Based on the information gathered in the evaluation, our team can make treatment recommendations that they believe will lead to optimal results. During a patient’s time with us, our team monitors their progress and adjusts their treatment plan based on their needs. Together, our behavioral health and medical professionals work to help patients improve their communication and social skills as well as make academic progress. Stays in our adolescent program are typically 11-14 days. During these short stays, our goal is to help each patient stabilize and prepare them to return home or step down to a lower level of care.
