About

Our Approach to Healing

For decades Spruce Mountain Inn has understood the importance of group work and a structured schedule for our residents. This is why we have a longstanding requirement that residents be willing to commit to a minimum of 30 hours of scheduled programming. The 30 hours of programming center on these six key areas: group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, school/work, healthy living, and independent living skills. Spruce Mountain Inn strictly adheres to therapy modalities that are evidence-based and that are proven to be best practices—meaning there are years of research showing these modalities to be effective. Our small campus gives us the advantage of fostering community and getting to know the needs of each of our residents. Because therapists carry small caseloads, they get to know residents as individuals, becoming familiar with their worries and fears, strengths and potential. Therapists are able to observe residents in their day-to-day living and take advantage of key moments to engage them therapeutically. At Spruce Mountain Inn, we know that therapeutic rapport is a key component in creating lasting change.

Who Do We Help

Residential treatment is an immersive, community-based approach that has the potential to be much more effective than treatment received in someone's typical living environment. We work with young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma.

We are here to help

n order to determine if our residential treatment program is a good fit for you, we have developed a careful admissions process that allows us to get to know you, explore your background and current struggles, and answer questions you may have. Thus, this question is best answered by contacting us and starting the conversation with Spruce Mountain Inn’s Director or Assistant Director about your situation and goals, and what we do. Take a look at our general admissions criteria, as they outline the client profile that our treatment model is designed to serve. We are just as committed as you are to ensuring a good match, so we will let you know if we think another program or resource might better serve your needs.

Finances

Spruce Mountain Inn is a private pay program. We have found insurance companies want people done & out quickly. We find healing takes time.
