A Supportive and Friendly Setting and a Safe Haven
At Spring Ridge Academy we have a focused admissions criteria. The young women that Spring Ridge Academy helps are bright, talented and highly creative individuals who are struggling to manage their lives. Often these are young women involved in a variety of risky and/or addictive behaviors that are sabotaging their relationships and affecting their academic careers. While Spring Ridge Academy students present with a variety of diagnoses we find that often the issues that need to be addressed fall into one of eight categories: Attachment, Adoption Issues, Body Image, Eating Disorders, Conflict, Defiance, Depression, Anxiety, Experimentation with Drugs & Alcohol, Focus, Motivation Issues, Grief & Loss, Self Harm, Social Difficulties, Negative Peer Groups, Trauma
Our Therapeutic Approach
The therapeutic approach at Spring Ridge Academy utilizes a combination of family systems and developmental models to create a comprehensive scope of treatment. Within this model, we identify and address six key, interlinked concepts affecting the quality of life for adolescents and their families: identity, attachment, parenting, style, communication, executive functioning, and social functioning. By addressing these key areas, we are able to assess each family’s strengths as well as identifying the areas of need. The therapist, treatment team, parents and student can then generate and implement a plan to address areas of weakness, while utilizing the strengths within the family to support growth and change. Spring Ridge Academy helps your daughter find her own sense of self, learn to love herself and to make choices that support change, success and excellence.
Learn, Heal, Grow, Connect
Our goal at Spring Ridge Academy is to assist your daughter to honestly identify and define her own values, beliefs and opinions independently of what she thinks others want from her. This foundation of success and self-esteem assists each student to continue to make choices that reinforce self-respect while enrolled at Spring Ridge Academy and as she transitions into young adulthood. These choices include maintaining healthy, productive relationships with family and peers, continuing to face and cope with addictions and challenges, completing and excelling in her education and being honest with herself and others. Even if she should veer off course, a graduate of Spring Ridge Academy has the ability to regroup, ask for help and continue with her growth.
