SEC Works with Neurodivergent Populations
The Social Enrichment Center was founded to support individuals, families, schools, & community organizations. Our mission is to help individuals with social, emotional, & behavioral needs through various services. Our team utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Social Skills, Applied Behavior Analysis techniques, & a blend of other treatment modalities to personalize treatment plans to each individual's goals. We work closely with caregivers to support our clients' success. The SEC also consults with educators & school districts to help clients generalize skills learned in the center & provide valuable feedback & recommendations.
SEC Offers 2 Types of Individual Sessions
SEC offers individual psychotherapy services that focus on cognitive behavioral therapy, developing coping strategies, and managing & treating psychological diagnoses. SEC also offers individual social skills therapy with a focus on conversation skill development, navigating friendships, & social awareness. We work closely with caregivers to provide support.
SEC Has Speech & Occupational Therapy Services
The social and behavioral needs of clients often present with overlapping occupational or speech needs. Our on-site occupational therapist targets clients' sensory integration dysfunction, fine and gross motor challenges, difficulties with daily living skills, challenges with boundaries & personal space, and facilitates the development of sensory diets for increased regulation and modulation. Our speech-language therapist help clients communicate in more functional and useful ways. Our speech therapist targets pragmatic and semantic speech to address reciprocal conversation, making clearer speech sounds, strengthening muscles in the mouth, jaw & neck, understanding body language, and increasing the number of volleys in conversation.
