Private Home-Style Care

Soaring Hope Addiction Recovery center (formerly Courage To Change) rests at the foot of Mt. Herman just outside the stunning Pike National Forest in Monument, Colorado. By providing a safe, home-like environment and focusing on mind / body / spirit holistic healing, Soaring Hope has helped clients for over 12 years find hope and success in their recovery process. Soaring Hope offers a unique scientific, evidence-based, unified treatment focused on personal, physical and spiritual development to facilitate recovery over addiction and the development of a life-plan for sobriety. Treating a complex disease like addiction demands a unique and tailored treatment for each individual. By treating no more than 10 clients at one time and maintaining a superior staff to client ratio, we can ensure the highest level of individual attention. Each week, clients participate in 45.5 therapeutic hours guided by Certified Addiction Counselors (I, II or III), Registered Psychotherapists, Trauma Certified specialists, and unique in Colorado LENS Certified experts. Fitness coaches and spiritual guides round out the team. Our program encourages a strong connection to nature. Clients and staff spend many hours outside and greatly enjoy their time on the extensive hiking trails in the Pike National Forest.

Soaring Hope Mission

The Soaring Hope Residential Treatment Program provides a safe, home-like environment focused on mind / body / spirit holistic healing. During your stay we will employ scientific methods for addiction rehabilitation and optimal brain function in order to manage the chronic disease of addiction. We believe that your success depends on fostering three ingredients: 1. repairing the brain using LENS and correcting neurological imbalances with natural amino acids; 2.developing a deeper understanding of addiction and recovery using a wide range of traditional cognitive behavioral/motivation and spiritual therapies; and, 3. developing a renewed sense of purpose in your life.

Integrated Evidence-Based Therapies

The human brain contains over 100 billion cells, called neurons that may have become damaged at the genetic level which leads to addictive behaviors. Abuse of alcohol and drugs causes severe damage to the brain - damage which can now be 'seen' by virtue of neuro-imaging and measured by neurotransmitter testing. Science-based research shows scientifically and graphically, that the brains of addicts are physiologically different - they work differently - than 'normal' brains. Our revolutionary program utilizes the results from over a decade of the most advanced addiction rehabilitation research. The focus is on integrating a holistic experience tailored for the individual, preparing him/her to sustain recovery and to enjoy a life of sobriety. These tried-and-true approaches to 'creating change' in behavior have undergone many refinements, but their effectiveness in helping individuals cross the threshold to a new way of living is profound. In groups such as "Thinking for a Change" and "Relapse Prevention," patients learn new ways of thinking which facilitates a change in behavior. And in learning and thinking, clients actually create new neural pathways that are the foundation for a healthy recovery. You do have the courage to change.
