Comprehensive Programming
Sierra Tucson provides a full continuum of care for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to substances like alcohol, opioids and benzos. We offer inpatient, residential and outpatient services that can help clients wherever they are in their recovery journeys. Clients who come to our facility with drugs or alcohol in their systems can begin their treatment with detox programming. This service can help them safely rid their bodies of toxic substances. For clients who are experiencing acute symptoms of behavioral health or addiction concerns, we can provide inpatient care. Once they have stabilized, they can move to our residential program or participate in our outpatient programs. We have a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that allow clients to return home after treatment each day. For clients who have substance use disorders and mental health concerns like depression and anxiety, we can provide dual diagnosis treatment at each program level. Admissions
Choosing to receive addiction treatment is courageous, and we respect and honor our clients. When adults get effective treatment for substance use disorders, they can experience improved physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. Each client follows a step-by-step process to enter our detox, inpatient, residential or outpatient programs. First, they speak with an admissions coordinator who is available 24/7. Next, they complete an over-the-phone assessment, which can be done anytime from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. during the week and from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on the weekend. This initial conversation can help us determine which of our programs is most appropriate for each client. After the evaluation, a team member can answer any questions and outline the next steps. When a client arrives at our facility, they’ll be welcomed by a staff member who can show them our campus and go over programming. Each adult who receives care at our treatment center completes medical and psychological evaluations that can help their care team develop a customized treatment plan. Treatment Approach
Treatment for addictions at Sierra Tucson integrates evidence-based practices and experiential therapies to provide comprehensive care for adults. Because we see recovery as a journey, we know that there may be many phases of healing. For this reason, we offer a full continuum of inpatient, residential and outpatient care that can meet each person where they are in this process. Depending on each client’s care plan, they may receive medication management services as well as individual and group therapies led by therapists and social workers. Common topics we discuss in therapy include anger management, healing anxiety, shame, resilience and grief. Our therapists use evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help clients develop coping skills. In addition to evidence-based treatments, we feature a range of experiential therapies, such as expressive art, equine therapy, yoga and adventure therapies like a ropes course and climbing wall.
