Sunflower Wellness Retreat is a 23-bed residential substance abuse and addiction rehabilitation facility serving the KC community. Our focus is treating the whole client, mind and body, through our innovative and customized approach to counseling. We offer CBT, DBT, family therapy, daily exercise, art expression, yoga and meditation, on a serene and private 12 acre campus. Sunflower Wellness Retreat is licensed by the State of Kansas and accredited by The Joint Commission. HEALING THE MIND AND BODY
At Sunflower Wellness Retreat, we also offer holistic treatments to help you learn how to heal your mind, body, and soul. Holistic wellness at our facility provides an extra component to our evidence-based therapy techniques and programs. DUAL DIAGNOSIS TREATMENT --- Oftentimes with addiction, it’s a byproduct of mental illness or vice versa. Co-occurring disorders are something that requires special treatment, and that’s what we provide. Treating just the mental illness or addiction isn’t going to work if you also have the other issue. Treating both simultaneously is the only way to get to the place you need to be. We address both issues with a variety of programs and evidence-based therapies like, CBT, DBT, Trauma-informed Care and Relapse Prevention. PHYSIOLOGY AND NUTRITION --- Sunflower’s program incorporates exercise in the treatment of addiction. Not only does exercise augment recovery in a host of different ways, from improving blood/ brain chemistry to providing healthy social outlets, but it enhances literally every other life indicator of vital living. SUNFLOWER WELLNESS RETREAT offers a chance to set yourself on a better path. We offer 30 days or more Residential, PHP and IOP programs, Individual Therapy, Daily Group Therapy, Psycho-education, Family Therapy, Evidence-based and Holistic Therapy, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
