Sanford Behavioral Health at John Street is a CARF-accredited residential & outpatient addiction treatment & co-occurring disorders center. Characterized by robust excursions, evidence-based practices, nutritional guidance, & a psychiatrist-led medical & clinical team, Sanford offers excellence in the treatment of drugs (including stimulants & opioids) & alcohol in a restorative setting. Sanford patients & their therapists work collaboratively to establish an individualized plan for treatment & recovery. The program includes a full continuum of care, medical detox, medication management, 12-step meetings, chef, mindfulness, & art therapy—alumni & family support. Sanford Behavioral Health accommodates clients in a naturally private location. Residential patients live at a Sanford facility while attending group, individual, and family therapy sessions, receiving medical and psychiatric check-ups, and participating in wellness activities. Residential treatment has 24/7 access to the support of our medical team. Gilbert Masterson, M. D, leads our psychiatrist-led medical services. All levels of care include on-site supervision by medical doctors with specialties in psychiatry and addictionology, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, and registered dietitians. The family is welcomed and involved in the process through our comprehensive Family Program. Our full continuum of care includes residential, outpatient, and telehealth options.
