Who We Serve
Sandhill Center works with children aged 8–13 who face profound emotional and behavioral challenges that traditional therapies haven’t resolved. These include emotional dysregulation, social difficulties, resistance to adult guidance, attachment and adoption issues, academic refusal or failure, control-oriented behaviors, mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar), and developmental differences such as autism spectrum disorder. Many of these children have exhausted outpatient treatment options and require an environment that supports neuroregulation, trust-building, and healing through meaningful relationships. Our Approach to Healing
Sandhill offers a three-month intensive residential assessment track (START) and a longer‑term residential program. Grounded in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), we offer trauma-informed, neuroscience-based relational care. Structured daily routines, academic support, and animal-assisted therapy are curated to individuals’ therapeutic needs. A Place of Understanding and Hope
We understand how overwhelming it can feel when your behaviors stemming from emotional dysregulation are misunderstood. At Sandhill Center, this is our specialty. Your family is not alone. Our nurturing, homelike setting is rooted in compassion, expertise, and individualized care. If healing feels out of reach, we’re here to help guide you forward. Take the first step to help.
