We are a fully adherent, comprehensive, outpatient, mental health treatment program serving teens, adults, couples and families throughout California. We provide high quality individual, family and group therapies to those seeking to improve their lives, their relationships and reach their goals. Our clients are usually seeking help managing emotions, thoughts and behaviors and improve communication with others. We have a strong emphasis in interpersonal skills, emotion regulation managing and distress tolerance skills, as well as mindfulness, the foundation of what we teach and the cornerstone of our practice. We have a diverse and highly skilled staff and provide treatment in a compassionate and nonjudgmental setting. We want to help people to learn and reach their goals and will tailor our treatment to help each client create a life worth living! (While we do not take insurance, we do provide superbills for those seeking reimbursement.)

DBT is a Comprehensive set of Life Skills

We are a fully adherent, high-fidelity DBT Program with more than 18 years of practice in the field. While DBT was designed for those who are severely disregulated and even suicidal, DBT can be helpful for most anyone. DBT therapy is targeted, behavioral and goal directed while balancing the concept of change with acceptance. We teach a comprehensive set of life skills that changes people lives by reducing emotional suffering and increasing happiness and joy.

Learn the Skills in a Nonjudgmental Setting

Our therapists, as well as our groups, are well-known for being safe, nonjudgmental environments. We foster warm, open spaces that allow for even the most timid of learner to join in and benefit. Our teen groups are highly engaging, never boring and made for those distracted learners. Our adults courses are engaging, philosophical and allow for encourage everyone to share openly and support one another. San Fernando Valley DBT's Groups

DBT Women's Group

Our DBT Women's Group meets Saturdays at 9am and meets criteria for a fully comprehensive DBT program. The group is run online and fosters a highly supportive, nonjudgmental atmosphere. The group requires a minimum of a 6 month commitment. It is more like a class than a traditional process group and we spend time teaching mindfulness, reviewing homework and teaching the skills in an engaging and stimulating way. The group is run by two experienced DBT therapists. All participants must have an individual therapist to join the group. We do allow those with outside therapists to join.

DBT Adult Co-ed

Our Adult DBT Group meets Saturdays at 11 am and meets the criteria for a fully comprehensive DBT program. The group is run online and fosters a highly supportive, nonjudgmental atmosphere. It is more like a class than a traditional process group; we spend time teaching mindfulness, reviewing homework, and teaching the skills in an engaging and stimulating didactic format. The group is run by two experienced DBT therapists. All participants must have an individual therapist to join the group. We do allow those with outside therapists to join if clinically appropriate. The group requires a minimum of a 6 month commitment.

DBT Teen Groups - Online and In Person

Our DBT teen groups meet Tuesdays in Sherman Oaks at 5:30pm and Thursdays Online at 5:30pm. The groups meet the criteria for a fully comprehensive DBT teen program. The group fosters a highly supportive, nonjudgmental atmosphere where teens feels safe to share. It is more like a class; we spend time teaching mindfulness, reviewing homework, and teaching the skills in an engaging and stimulating didactic format. The group is run by two experienced DBT therapists. All participants must have a therapist to join the group. The group requires a minimum of a 6 month commitment.
