DBT Emotional Regulation: Skills Building
Are you struggling with feeling like your emotions control you? Do you feel you are on an emotional roller coaster, unable to tolerate the intensity of your emotions? Do you struggle with maintaining significant relationships? If so, this DBT group can provide significant tools to help you find new balance in your life. Emotional regulation problems are at the core of much psychological distress, including depression, anxiety, addictions and personality disorders. This skills-building group is will empower clients to make better choices for themselves instead of remaining in reactive mode in their lives. Facilitated by Joyce Menchinger, LCSW
Disordered Eating Group
If you have found yourself trapped in the cycle of emotional eating, restricting, binging/purging, or over-exercising and are ready to change patterns in your relationship with food, physical activity, and body perception, this group may be for you. Group therapy is the most powerful way to overcome unhealthy relationship patterns, whether with people...with yourself...or with food. ~~~Topics in this group will include: * Identifying and understanding emotions (fat is not a feeling!) * Confronting self-destructive thought processes * Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques * Identity * Acceptance vs. Approval * Expressive work
Boundries Process Group
Are you caught in a cycle of painful behaviors that lead to unhealthy relationships and dependence on others for approval of self? Do you take on too much? Feel guilty or responsible for others' feelings? Have a fear of being rejected or of being alone? These patterns, behaviors and feelings can be symptoms of unhealthy boundaries and codependency. Group therapy is a powerful process and one that bonds its members together while forming individual awareness in oneself. It offers you the opportunity to gain new perspectives, develop greater compassion for yourself and others, and create a life-altering shared experience.
