Groups
Emotional Identity: Expressing your Feelings

Our Emotional Identity group explores the obstacles that stand between you and experiencing emotion, opens discussion around the topic of emotional needs and how to fulfill them, and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) techniques and curriculum. Part of this group is learning about your personal emotional intelligence, which is the ability to identify emotion in yourself and others. This group can delve into deeper topics based around personal struggles with emotional release, trauma tied to emotional experiences, warning signs for people that use emotion as a weapon or threat, etc.
Family of Origin

Our Family of Origin group is deeply rooted in giving our guests a better understanding of learned beliefs and behaviors, how family dynamics can impact family members, the different roles we take in our own family systems, and other significant family issues. The goal of this group is to break unhealthy cycles that have been passed down from generation to generation, and redefine your role in a healthy family system. We may use experiential therapy approaches to further the impact of acknowledged themes and personal realizations in this group.
Self Worth: Identifying Truths&Challenging Beliefs

In this group, we are focused on rebuilding a sense of self-worth. We will use curriculum from Seeking Safety to spark introspective reflection and acknowledge ourselves in a new way. We will also identify our personal core beliefs or belief systems and challenge those which have been chipping away at our self-worth for years. We utilize cognitive behavioral therapy methods to call out cognitive distortions that feed our negative core beliefs and disrupt positive thoughts, feelings, and actions. We may use other therapeutic techniques in this group, such as motivational interviewing (MI), motivational enhancement, acceptance and commitment therapy, etc.
