About

Bella's House

We are fortunate to be located against the backdrop of the Maine mountains, woods, rivers and lakes. This allows us freedom to use these resources to show how resources can and should be used in our everyday life to promote positive and healthy changes. While living in our therapeutic community, you will be able to participate in such things as gardening, music therapy drama therapy, yoga and recreational therapy. During these activities healthy coping skills and tools can be learned. Using our healthy, positive and safe therapeutic community you will be better prepared to step into the next phase of their recovery. From the first day of entering Bella’s House, you will begin to prepare for the return to the life of your choosing. We will work closely with community services including recovery homes, recovery coaches and communities and outpatient services to ensure that you have a plan to continue your chosen path. We will continue to be part of your support system even after your departure from Bella’s House and welcome your return as either alumni or graduates of our program if you choose to do so.

Treatment of Co-Occurring Disorders

We believe in treating all aspects of a person’s illness. Experts have come to define addiction as a disease that impacts the brain and a person’s behavior that has nothing to do with “moral failing.” It's uncommon for someone who has a substance use disorder to be free of any medical or mental health issues and only solely dealing with addiction. At Bella’s House we will educate and provide this additional service not only on your substance use disorder but also an education and understanding and path of how to manage any underlying medical disorders or mood disorders. Our nursing staff will provide daily assessments to assist with monitoring and treating these underlying factors. They will provide education and help to provide an understanding of the destruction and the effects that substances have on the brain and the body as whole. You will get the opportunity to take part in many diverse therapy sessions to get to the root causes of your issues and triggers. During group sessions you will get the opportunity to learn and practice skills to deal with triggers that could tempt you into relapse.

How to start the Process

Addiction destroys lives. Addiction is isolating. It will give individuals their wants but not their needs. Here at Bella’s House, we will help you to discover what your underlying needs are. From the moment you walk through the doors or take the first step by telephoning us, you'll be greeted with a team that truly cares about your success and well-being. After contacting us you will speak with a member of our admissions team. We will gather information about your current situation, medical history and willingness to enter treatment. Contact us now at 207-738-2488 or email referrals@riversedgemaine.com to be connected to a member of our admissions team.

Finances

We accept most major insurances. We will work directly with your insurance company to determine your coverage eligibility.
