Serving Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
Roanoke Park Counseling provides individual and group therapy for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, as well as a support group for survivors' partners. We honor and regard the decision to seek help as an act of profound courage. RPC offers a safe place for adult survivors to explore buried feelings that may have been unsafe to talk about as children. Survivors often ask, "Can this get better?" The answer is a resounding "Yes."
What happens in therapy?
The core of all treatment is to help survivors to address the abuse itself, deal with the life effects of abuse, and lead more productive and satisfying lives. The goal of therapy is to reduce the obstacles to each individual's desire to heal. We realize that this journey may take place over an extended period of time. We deeply believe that within each of our clients is the desire and power to heal.
Our Services
Roanoke Park Counseling offers a variety of professional, affordable therapeutic services - both individual and group - to address the needs of adults who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse, as well as their partners. All services are provided by credentialed therapists with specialized training in trauma and abuse. Many insurance plans are accepted, and services are offered on a sliding fee scale. Intakes are available now to help potential clients decide if this is the right place for their healing, and we have wait lists for both individual and group therapy

Do you ask yourself, "But what about me?" Do you wonder if you'll ever make love again? Is it difficult to listen to your partner's story of abuse? Do you wonder how other's handle these issues? The Partner Support group is a mixed gender group offering partners of childhood sexual abuse survivors an opportunity to meet others who are dealing with relationships stressed by CSA issues. The format of the group includes sharing time, an educational component and time to ask questions, all in a supportive space. Sessions are 8 consecutive weeks long; members can continue through multiple sessions.

21-week closed therapy groups for male and female survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Groups are gender specific. A group can provide the next step in understanding the healing process and the opportunity to share with and learn from other survivors in a confidential and safe environment. This experience can offer a very significant growth step for survivors. All groups are led by our licensed and experienced therapists.
