Red Oak Recovery Programs
Red Oak Recovery has three clinically driven, trauma-focused programs that offer gender-specific care to young adult men ages 18-30 (Red Oak), young adult women ages 18-35 (The Willows), and adolescent boys ages 14-17 (Foothills). Our master’s level clinicians, dually licensed to treat mental health and addiction, integrate research-supported practices with complementary modalities to help clients honor themselves, recognize self-worth, and pursue positive, lasting change. Red Oak and Foothills generally provide primary substance use treatment, while the Willows can also provide treatment for primary mental health. Our developmentally specific treatment methods consider clients’ unique stories, trauma history, gender challenges, substance use history, relapse triggers, and mental health issues to allow for holistic treatment of the whole person. Red Oak Recovery also offers Recovery Management services based on the Gorski-CENAPS model of relapse prevention for clients who have experienced or are about to experience a return to use after roughly 90 days of sobriety. Our clinicians will work alongside a Gorski-trained relapse prevention specialist to help these clients receive the
Red Oak Recovery and Foothills at Red Oak Recovery
Red Oak Recovery and Foothills at Red Oak focus on the unique needs of young adult men and adolescent boys recovering from trauma, substance use, and/or co-occurring disorders. Some of these include, but are not limited o low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and social and emotional development. By exploring foundational issues that precipitate substance use and other disorders, our programs give clients the resources to be successful in long-term recovery, become more self-sufficient, identify triggers that can lead to relapse, build healthy relationships, and learn positive coping skills. Our focus in on clinically sophisticated care. We blend extensive experience, current research, and proven clinical modalities. In addition to individual therapy, we incorporate group therapy, psych-education, adventure and experiential therapies, nutritional counseling, and community-building to cultivate emotional and spiritual growth. Red Oak Recovery programs are CARF accredited and are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, First Health, and Ascension.
The Willows: Trauma, Mental Health & Addiction
The Willows at Red Oak Recovery is tailored to the needs of young adult women recovering from primary mental health, trauma, and substance use issues. We utilize the latest research-supported clinical rehabilitation modalities to ensure sustained recovery while addressing clinical issues in a simultaneous and integrated fashion. Our trauma-informed treatment program utilizes a multifaceted approach—based on theory, research, and clinical experience—to help women find wholeness. Through a combination of clinically immersive practices, outdoor adventure experiences, and mindfulness offerings such as yoga and acupuncture, we provide freedom from the destructive thoughts, actions, and self-sabotage that often stem from trauma. Our goal is not only to help women understand and find peace with the past, but to enhance the quality of their day-to-day experience in the present. Like our other campuses, The Willows at Red Oak Recovery also offers Recovery Management services based on the Gorski-CENAPS model of relapse prevention.
