#1 Trusted Addiction & Trauma Treatment

At RECO Intensive, our goal is to guide clients through the impactful transitions that arise within the realm of recovery. We believe that each individual is unique. Consequently, each treatment plan and metamorphosis in recovery must be unique, too. As we work to recreate joy and to instill patience, self-awareness, and responsibility in those who are suffering from addiction, we understand and address the specific intricacies of each individual's history. Each personalized care plan will include specialized therapies suited to your background and progress in recovery. As a team, we tailor your RECO experience to correlate with your past-and to embolden the person you will become within your newfound independence from addiction.

RECO's Specialty Treatment Services

Our highly qualified staff will work with you each week in individual therapy, group therapy, and ancillary programs. Together, we will design a weekly curriculum that meets your individual needs. Your weekly treatment plan will consist of three key group programs and two electives, in addition to any supplemental services you may require. Beyond your primary groups and electives, you will find within our program an array of specialty services, which include, but are not limited to: -Private Trauma-Conscious Yoga -Trauma-Conscious Massage -Reiki & Other Body/Energy Work by a Masters-Level Clinician -Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) -Family Programming & Specialty Counseling Services -Individual, Couple, or Family Equine Therapy Sessions -Private Acupuncture for Trauma & Addiction -Optional Therapeutic Excursions -Community Service Projects -Therapeutic/Healing Rituals for Grief & Loss -Nature-Based Therapy (in Collaboration with Local Nature-Based Resources)

Firm advocates of collaborative care, we strive to facilitate each client's future in lifelong recovery. In the face of addiction, we are all climbing a similar mountain. When left alone, that mountain can feel insuperable. At RECO, we will not only work to climb that mountain with you-many of us have reached its dark peaks before. RECO Intensive's Groups

Trauma of Addiction

Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event. Most clients hear the word "trauma" and immediately separate themselves from believing that they have ever experienced any form of trauma. They typically lack an understanding of what trauma actually is and how it impacts the way we think, act, and feel. Many people minimize the severity of their addiction and rationalize the experiences they encountered when using. Here, clients learn the psycho-education behind the impact of addiction on the brain and begin to process with their peers how past experiences have shaped their inability to make lasting, healthier choices.

Family Systems and Support

Family system's implies that an individual cannot be understood in isolation, but rather as a part of their family, with the family acting as an emotional unit. Addiction and recovery affects the entire family-not just the individual with substance abuse. Therefore, recognizing family patterns, history, and conflicts allows the clients to explore how it has affected them in life, in active addiction, and in recovery. Clients will discuss different types of relationships, family roles, and attachments in order to further identify patterns in their family. Here, clients acquire skills to cope with conflicts and maintain healthy boundaries.

A Hero's Journey

RECO follows the individual's entire story-from birth to adulthood-and recognizes that in order for transformation to take place, a heightened perception of one's past must first be achieved. Each individual needs to understand his or her own past, and the journey they have taken. They must recognize that each crossroads in life contains valuable information for self-discovery and acceptance. Individuals who are able to make the connections between their past and present are better able to recognize patterns and understand the trajectory of their lives.
