About Us
Psychological HealthCare (PHC) is a group practice dedicated to providing quality, focused, interventions for the full range of mental health problems. Each of the psychologists and social workers on our staff is licensed by New York State. Each is different and more information about them can be found by going to our website at phcny.com. But they are all similar and connected in their desire to be helpful, and in working very hard to continue to learn and and develop their therapeutic and treatment skills. Because of the great variety of interests and talents in our group we are able to draw upon a variety of techniques to better address the needs of the people who come for our services. We serve people of all ages from young children to adolescents, adults, and the elderly, and provide services to individuals, couples, and families. All of our offices are conveniently located and accessible by automobile and public transportation.
To Make A Referral or An Appointment
We know that starting a therapeutic treatment is difficult, so we do everything possible to make the experience easier for you. We have 5 very nice and competent people who are available between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to walk you through the process of finding the best treatment provider for your particular situation. To call and get started with making an appointment, please call New Client Services at 315.670.4177, and then press 5. We have five offices located around the Central New York area in order to reduce driving time to and from appointments for people with busy schedules. Two of our offices are located in Syracuse- downtown and in the Eastwood area, one in Liverpool on 7th North Street,another in Baldwinsville near Radisson, and a small office in New Hartford. Appointments may be made for any of our offices by calling the 670.4177 number listed above.
Specialties at Psychological HealthCare
We treat the full range of mental health problems, and because we have so many providers there is a good chance you will find one who has an interest or specialty in the area of concern to you. When you call New Client Services you will be able to know within a few minutes if we have a provider who matches your specific concerns. We also have specialty groups who meet together regularly for ongoing training and consultation in order to keep up with the latest practice developments. Our Child and Adolescent Group provide special evaluations for, and treat, a variety of childhood issues including anxiety, attention deficit disorders, behavior problems, and autism spectrum disorders. Our Issues of Aging Group work with problems occurring later in life, such as feelings of isolation, loss of control, changes in status, sleep and pain issues, as well as anxiety and depression. Our Suboxone Behavioral Treatment Group provides supportive counseling for individuals who have been prescribed Suboxone to help with a problem with addiction to painkillers. We offer Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups to help people learn to cope better, Anger Management, Relaxation and Meditation training, and much much more.
