Welcome to Peace of Mind Counseling and Wellness
Times have been incredibly difficult, especially during the current pandemic. People have been at home stressed and overwhelmed or frustrated, isolated and lonely. Feelings such as these oftentimes consume the person, making it difficult to think, calm down or function at their typical level. Homelife, school life, work life are all being impacted. At Peace of Mind Counseling and Wellness Center we help people alleviate stress, anxiety, depression and trauma so that people can emerge as better parents, children, siblings, friends, coworkers and community members.
Holistic Mental Health Services
Peace of Mind Counseling and Wellness Center utilizes a number of different approaches making sure people reach their goals in the most comfortable path possible. As a practice we listen, empathize, provide feedback and hold nonjudgmental space. We work to understand the root of the problem all while allowing people to express their feelings and teaching regulations skills. So that when people are going through their everyday lives, they are able to calm themselves without the situations becoming too overwhelming. From Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to Creative Art Therapy, we work to provide people with all the tools they need to succeed in life. Our therapists are trained in Trauma Techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sandplay Therapy, Family Systems, Trauma Focused Yoga, Polyvagal Theory, Jungian Theories of Therapy and Creative Arts Therapy.

While holding a non-judgmental space, people can feel comfortable sharing all parts of themselves to help develop and grow. Teen Girls Support Group
COVID has made it very difficult for teens to socialize and process their feelings. Issues such as isolation, self esteem, depression, anxiety and loneliness are at an all time high for teens. We provide a safe and supportive space for teens to talk and provide them with tools for self regulation.

A confidential small group allowing teens to share and grow into their best selves. Join us for a dynamic therapy group dedicated to Black and BIPOC teens in New Jersey.
