About

Pacific DBT Collaborative in an outpatient clinic that specializes in providing evidence based individual therapy and skills groups. We are a group of clinicians who view psychotherapy as an opportunity to learn new ways of solving old problems. We are warm, dialectically oriented therapists that help clients create a life worth living through the practice of mindfulness and acquisition of skills. We work to meet our clients where they are in the moment with acceptance and validation while working towards change. We know this works as we have witnessed individuals transform their lives of suffering and despair into ones of joy and possibility. Our team of highly trained DBT therapists is equipped to treat a myriad of clinical problems and we offer in-person and online individual therapy and skills training for clients seeking treatment in the East San Francisco Bay Area and California at large during the time of Covid-19. .

Pacific DBT Collaborative's Groups

DBT Skills Group-Virtual Only

A DBT skills group uses a psycho-educational class format where the emphasis is on learning and practicing behavioral skills. These skills include mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. Skills are taught in a series of three modules, each lasting approximately 8-10 weeks. The first two weeks of each module cover and review mindfulness and this skill is also practiced in every group. The following six to eight weeks rotate through each of the remaining modules. All the modules will be covered in approximately 6-8 months
