Addiction is a multilayered and complex condition. It is a physical, psychological, social, and very personal behavioral disorder. There are many treatment options offered by programs with very different treatment philosophies. All of this can make recovery seem daunting. At a time when the chance of drug overdose for people under 50 is higher that the chance of dying from COVID, we believe that all evidence-based treatment options should be offered. At our center we offer cutting edge addiction treatments led by our founder, Joseph Volpicelli MD, PhD. During his time as a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, he developed naltrexone to treat people with alcohol addiction. He also developed and wrote a book on how to best integrate psychosocial treatment with medications. We believe that the path to freedom from addiction is to offer the right treatment to the right person at the right time.

We specialize in preteens, teens, and young adults, struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mental health and substance abuse issues. Our programs include in-home treatment, virtual coaching and counseling, outpatient clinics, wilderness therapy, short-term residential programs, long-term residential treatment, therapeutic boarding schools, and young adult transitional living options. Mental health problems are common among youth and can make things like school, socializing, work and everyday life more difficult. In fact, one in five adolescents, ages 12-18, live with a mental health condition; and between 20-30% will have one major depressive episode before they reach adulthood. Half of all lifetime cases of mental disorders will first present by age 14 and 75% will present by age 24. This is why it is a critical time to find expert help and address issues.

STAR Guides is an outdoor therapeutic program designed for youth and young adults who are struggling with problematic sexual behavior. STAR Guides provides families with navigation through these challenges. Regardless of past behaviors, we believe that all youth can learn to achieve healthy sexuality. Research suggests that for many, sexual problematic behavior first begins during the adolescent years. STAR Guides helps youth to deal with these problems while they are still young. Many youth in today's modern world find themselves lost and in need of direction as they attempt to navigate the thick darkness that accompanies sexual behavior problems. Just as the ancient peoples of the world, they are in need of STAR Guides. Based in beautiful St. George, Utah the program provides teens and young adults with a high impact, life-changing therapeutic wilderness experience in the heart of the majestic red rock of the high desert of Southern Utah. STAR Guides is the ideal intervention for individuals needing to learn to manage problematic sexual behaviors that they have been unable to manage previously.

Why do people tend to shy away from mental health visits? Research has shown that untreated mental health issues can lead to a decline in physical/medical health. Anxiety and depression may not seem alarming at first but, without support for an extended period of time, it can cause a cascade of life challenges. Supporting mental health has directly resulted in an improvement of physical and emotional well-being. Unfortunately, since there is a such a negative stigma around mental health, it is often forgotten or neglected. We at PCDV are working every day to end the stigma by educating others on how mental health visits should be viewed no different than physical health check-ups with your PCP. All mental health visits do not serve the same purpose, nor do they all require the same level of treatment.

Ambler Counseling Center is a small, family-owned, private therapy practice, offering specialized mental health services to better your life, your relationships, and your sense of self. We believe in a modern, client-first approach; long gone are the days of laying on an uncomfortable couch while a shrink takes notes and offers little clinical help. Life can be stressful, and we are here to walk that journey with you. Whether you’re going through a life transition, struggling with consistent anxiety, moving forward from a traumatic experience, or simply want to learn more about yourself and your emotional nature, we are excited to meet you where you’re at and find the answers together. Our team specializes in a wide range of therapies, which we will personalize and cater toward your specific situation and therapeutic goals. We know that therapy can be a daunting step, and we appreciate your trust in our team. We strive to help our clients understand that anxiety, depression, and PTSD do not need to control your life. There is freedom from the thoughts and behaviors we relied on in different circumstances, and we are determined to help you find that freedom.

Yang TMS Center of the Main Line
Treatment Center, MD, FAPA
TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), is a safe, non-invasive, effective treatment option for individuals suffering from Major Depressive Disorder who have not seen satisfactory results from antidepressants. These pulses will feel like tapping on the scalp. When delivered at the correct frequency and intensity, the pulses create localized electromagnetic fields which have the ability to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. Although treatment plans are individualized, the typical course of treatment is 5 times a week, for 6 weeks. Each individual treatment session takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and patients can resume daily activities immediately after treatment. TMS does not use anesthesia, and patients are fully alert for the duration of the treatment session. TMS can be used as a stand-alone therapy, or in conjunction with medication and psychotherapies. TMS does not have the same side effects as traditional medications, and is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild headache and sensitivity at the site of stimulation.

Center for Families (CFF), a valued member of the Newport Healthcare family of programs, provides guidance, awareness, and education for families in local communities around mental health and substance use struggles. We lead teens ages 13-17 and families to sustainable healing through a continuum of care that includes our Therapeutic Day Program/PHP, Intensive Outpatient Program, and outpatient services. In CFF’s treatment programs, teens begin to build strong relationships, learn and practice healthy coping skills, grow their personal self-worth, and reestablish trust and communication with themselves and their loved ones. Our approach blends behavioral and medical treatment (integrated care) and provides both clinical and experiential modalities (integrative care). Each of our treatment programs encompasses evidence-based and solutions-focused components. Through support groups, clinical therapy, and psychoeducation, we involve the entire family in the healing journey - creating connection, cultivating compassion, igniting hope, and generating lasting change.

Rehab in Plymouth Meeting

Clients who are looking for Drug Rehab in Plymouth Meeting or Alcohol Rehab in Plymouth Meeting can find help at a treatment center. The first step towards recovery usually requires clients to detox in Plymouth Meeting under medical supervision, and follow-up with a period of intensive therapy at the center.

INPATIENT or OUTPATIENT?

Residential inpatient treatment in Plymouth Meeting consists of 24-hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy, are provided all at one location.

Outpatient treatment programs in Plymouth Meeting provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.

Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up. For instance, opiate abusers may find it helpful to begin their abstinence with a brief but intensive outpatient opiate drug detox in Plymouth Meeting.
Plymouth Meeting Eating Disorders

Eating Disorder Treatment Centres in Plymouth Meeting help treat a range of eating and food issues, such as childhood feeding disorders, food avoidance, obesity, Anorexia, Bulimia or compulsive overeating, binge eating, night eating, and body image issues.

They address the destructive behaviors and underlying emotional issues of disordered eating. Their programs can include family involvement and are designed to help patients in Plymouth Meeting develop the skills they need to make lifelong change.

How Treatment Centres Can Help

Treatment centers in Plymouth Meeting help clients with substance abuse issues, drug abuse, and pain treatment, as well as eating disorders. Treatment centers generally offer 30-day recovery programs, or longer-term 60 and 90-day programs.

The first step when you arrive in treatment is to begin a drug detox or alcohol detox. Medical professionals monitor your detox program to make sure that your detox is safe and appropriate.

The second step at most treatment centers is to begin therapy, either in groups or individually. Most Plymouth Meeting treatment centers for alcohol or drug abuse emphasize this step as the beginning of the road to recovery.

Successful treatment also includes a plan for when you leave your treatment center. Whether it is alcoholics anonymous, or engaging with family and friends, the best treatment centers in Plymouth Meeting provide counselors who guide you in preparing a plan to stay substance-free.
