"TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), is a safe, non-invasive, effective treatment option for individuals suffering from Major Depressive Disorder who have not seen satisfactory results from antidepressants. It is not to be confused with ECT, or "shock therapy". During treatment, brief magnetic pulses are delivered to the surface of the scalp through the use of an FDA-approved medical device. These pulses will feel like tapping on the scalp. When delivered at the correct frequency and intensity, the pulses create localized electromagnetic fields which have the ability to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. Although treatment plans are individualized, the typical course of treatment is 5 times a week, for 4-6 weeks. Each individual treatment session takes approximately 20-40 minutes to complete, and patients can resume daily activities immediately after treatment. TMS does not use anesthesia, and patients are fully alert for the duration of the treatment session. TMS can be used as a stand-alone therapy, or in conjunction with medication and psychotherapies. TMS does not have the same side effects as traditional medications, and is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild headache and sensitivity at the site of stimulation."

"Like Monte Nido's residential centers, Monte Nido's day treatment and intensive outpatient programs offer an innovative approach, where male and female clients can focus on recovery and regain a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. Through partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming, clients participate in groups and individual therapy, benefit from Monte Nido's clinical, medical, psychiatric and nutritional experience, and experience real life challenges. Using the same philosophy and protocols of the residential locations, Monte Nido's Eating Disorder Center of Philadelphia is a day treatment program with partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs available, located on the Main Line in Philadelphia. Monte Nido Philadelphia is available for male and female adolescents and adults who are transitioning from residential care. In addition, it offers someone a little more structure, as well as group support, and weekly therapeutic sessions."

"Race to Recovery Now offers a unique integrated approach to treating addiction and co-occurring disorders that includes sober transitional living facilities and intensive outpatient treatment. Our treatment approach is based on the most current evidenced based treatment strategies, as well as physiologically based interventions including biofeedback and lactate strength conditioning. The IOP includes a strong focus on narrative therapy and trauma focused care for co-occurring disorders. We utilize a biopsychosocial approach to understanding and treating addiction in which we target the physiological and neurological substrates as well as the psychological and social aspects of addiction and relapse. We also utilize a step down approach in which the client transitions from a structured living environment to independent living, and the option of stepping down from IOP to outpatient group or individual therapy. Our goal is to re-integrate individuals into the community successfully with a sense of meaning and purpose."

"At WestBridge we focus on helping males age 18 and older who experience serious mental illness (such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder) and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our teams are comprised of clinicians who have experience in integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders. They continuously assess individuals for signs and symptoms of both conditions. Treatment focuses on building healthy coping skills to help the individual and his family manage and recover from both illnesses. WestBridge uses evidence-based practices developed at the Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center that are designed specifically for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Our approach helps people recover by simultaneously offering mental health and addiction services in the same setting. After a thorough assessment, we develop a personalized treatment plan that builds on the strengths and goals of each individual. WestBridge offers a wide variety of services that our clinical team customizes depending on the stage of change for each participant. Each individual at WestBridge participates collaboratively with their family and their team in an ongoing treatment planning process to create and maintain a Personalized Achievement Agenda, which changes and evolves depending on the stage of recovery that person is experiencing."

"Using Neurofeedback, people of all ages can effortlessly learn to re-condition their brains to correct unbalanced brain wave activity, resulting in improved day-to-day functioning. You can think of Neurofeedback as "brain training." Like a muscle, your brain gets stronger the more you train it. When the brain works better, you feel better and do better. Neurofeedback has an 85 - 90% success rate in reducing symptoms of ADHD, and has been deemed a "Level 1, Best Support Treatment" by the American Academy of Pediatrics for ADHD, which is the highest level of support. Research using neurofeedback with Autism shows promising results, such as some students improving sufficiently to be mainstreamed into regular classes. In cases such as behavioral problems in children (e.g., temper tantrums, aggression), Neurofeedback can help children learn to control impulsive behaviors. For depression, a gradual lifting of mood and energy can occur. In cases of anxiety, people can experience decreased frequency and intensity of anxiety. For migraines, there's a reduction of intensity, duration and frequency, even for people resistant to medication. With Neurofeedback, unlike medications, you are in control of your own treatment, there are no side effects, and training is time-limited."
