Acute withdrawals are the main reason why such patients are unable to stop using drugs, which leads to opiate dependence and addiction.
Our board certified medical doctors have perfected the rapid drug opiate detoxification protocols to make it the most humane, safe, effective, successful, confidential, and affordable for the treatment of the opioid withdrawal syndrome. With today's use of Fentanyl, it is very difficult to transition to Suboxone as patients go through precipitated withdrawals, even after stopping Fentanyl for 5 days. With our sedation treatment these Fentanyl withdrawals pass during sedation and the opiate receptors will be blocked with Naltrexone, preferably the implant, for relapse prevention. Our board certified Anesthesiologist and Addictionologist have been performing this rapid detox treatment since 2008. Combined, they have more than 30 years of experience. Our facility is an intensive outpatient treatment ICU like center, that is licensed by the state of Michigan. We are next to Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Get your life back. Please call us now, or visit allopiatesdetox.com. We are available 24/7.

When you decide to take that brave first step to overcoming your addiction, detox is where you begin. You have to get the drugs out of your system before you can begin the rest of the healing process. Detoxing is actually a natural process — when you stop taking drugs, they will exit your system within a few days. As long as you do not put any drugs back in, you will be cleansed. In the throes of an active addiction, you continue putting your substance of choice into your body and never let it exit entirely. After some time, your body and brain learn to function with a certain level of that particular substance at all times. When you start to feel any withdrawal symptoms, like a headache, anxiety, tremors or anything that makes you uncomfortable, you reach for another dose, and those physical feelings go away. However, doing so adds to the cycle of addiction. The key is to get through those withdrawal feelings without taking another dose of drugs, and addiction makes that nearly impossible to do on your own. That’s why our detox staff at Tranquil Shores is here to help you get through the process safely.

The Rob's Ranch Addiction Treatment Program focuses on the time-tested, proven model of the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Individual Counseling: Our counselors take a detailed and individual approach with each man to identify, address, and heal from the fears and pain that are a part of the disease of addiction. Educational Classroom Work: Chemical Addiction is a disease that affects us mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. Our team leads one morning lecture class, 6 days a week. We discuss the various aspects of the addiction disease at a pace that our men can absorb and understand. Large and Small Group Discussions: One of the key principles to successful recovery from addiction is community. Many alcoholic/ drug addicts have gradually isolated themselves from friends and loved ones due to fear, frustration, and shame. Our daily group meetings allow for the men to share with each other the hurts and pains that they've endured in life and hear common stories from their peers. This environment will help each man establish a real sense of belonging that most alcoholic/addicts have been missing for years.

People are different and their addiction experience is different.
Many of us have habits we have developed and those habits create a path in our brain to support that habit. The more we engage in the habit, the stronger the path becomes. Picture a well-worn path to a lake or special spot in the woods. Your brain has been trained to do a particular behavior so strongly that it avoids other paths. This has led to an addictive cycle. However, with intensive brain-based treatment, we can create NEW pathways. These pathways will include healthy choices that will bring pleasure in sober living. We can help you or your loved one to retrain the brain! We believe that in order for addiction treatment to be successful, the chemical and physical aspects of the brain must be considered. We integrate this with counseling, support groups, exercise, spirituality and nutrition for a whole person approach.

What is the best therapy for addiction?
Addiction treatment will be tailored to the individual. People seeking help for addiction—whether with a psychotherapist, in an outpatient clinic, or in a residential program—should expect to engage in multiple types of treatments, sometimes including medication. For anyone recovering from addiction, avoiding situations in which one has typically used a substance is essential, as is the support of close connections. Since substance use disorders tend to co-occur with underlying mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression, those must also be addressed as part of any recovery plan.

How long does therapy for addiction take?
There is no set timeline for recovery from addiction. Patients and their families should expect the work to last several months, if not longer. Residential treatment programs may be based on a stay of 30, 60, or 90 days, with continuing work after release, but only about 1 percent of people are treated in such facilities. Ceasing use is just the first step; therapy to help maintain abstinence and effect behavior change must follow. The process of recovery, neuroscience has shown, involves brain cells recovering the capacity to respond to natural sources of reward and restore control over the impulse to use. Another definition of recovery is restoring voluntary control over one’s substance use and retaking all of one’s previous responsibilities.

How effective is drug addiction treatment?
Substance use disorders are treatable and remission is achievable for many who seek recovery; by some estimates, more than three-quarters of people who become addicted to alcohol or drugs recover. But that success rarely occurs quickly or on a set timeline; relapse is not only common, but many therapists and clinicians view it as a normal part of the process—not always a sign that a person has returned to addiction, but a signal that their treatment should be adjusted to help them regain control. Overall, research suggests, five years after the end of substance use, one’s risk of relapse is no greater than that of others who had not faced addiction. Other experts believe that complete abstinence is not the only measure of recovery, and that, through effective treatment, many people can learn to control their use.

How can you get addiction treatment for someone?
The most important factor in recovery from addiction is widely understood to be an individual’s commitment to change. For that reason,“interventions” in which friends and family gather to urge or force someone to begin immediate treatment often backfire; even when such efforts do lead someone to begin treatment, they may be less likely to stay than those who are self-driven. Still, family members can play an important role in supporting an individual who seeks help and can take part in family therapy as one element of a loved one’s treatment.
