At Glenwood Behavioral Health Hospital, our continuum of care includes an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adolescents ages 13-17 who are suffering from anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, hallucinations, mood swings, self-harm, suicidal/homicidal ideation, and other concerns. Patients may enter the IOP directly or after completing a higher level of care, such as inpatient treatment. Program duration is determined on a case-by-case basis, with the average stay lasting from four to six weeks. Patients attend treatment Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week for three hours a day. The flexible schedule of our IOP allows patients to continue attending school and participating in other daily living activities while also receiving the focused care they need.
