The Psychiatry High Risk Program is an innovative, recovery-based, and nationally recognized outpatient program for youth and young adults (ages 14 to 40) who struggle with thoughts of suicide. The PHRP has been designated as "a best practice" in suicide prevention by the national Suicide Prevention Resource Center and has won the prestigious American Psychiatric Association’s 2023 Psychiatric Services Silver Award for innovative and effective care. Conditions that commonly occur in high risk individuals include depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, self-harm, eating disorders, and addictions. Instead of typical chronic illness management, The PHRP introduces a new and unique treatment model that attempts to break the cycle of chronicity by addressing the underlying causes of these disorders. The Child and Adolescent Clinic at Psychological HealthCare is comprised of psychologists, social workers and mental health counselors who are all trained in the treatment of mental health issues. The Upstate New York Eating Disorder Service- The Nutrition Clinic and Sol Stone Center- is committed to providing the highest standard of care for those struggling with an eating disorder. Our levels of care include outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization program (PHP) with a supervised overnight residence. We offer outpatient and IOP services through the Nutrition Clinic in Syracuse, Ithaca and Binghamton NY. Our PHP, Sol Stone Center, is located in Elmira, NY. This comprehensive continuum of care gives our patients more treatment options and improves treatment outcomes.
