Bleuler Chemical Dependence (BCD) Recovery Services' mission is to provide a comprehensive range of assessment, treatment planning, counseling and psychiatric services in order to help each individual, families and significant others live an alcohol and drug free life. For over 60 years, the Bleuler Psychotherapy Center Mental Health Clinic has offered low-cost, high quality mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in Queens and the greater NYC area. Now BCD extends this array of comprehensive services to include alcohol and substance abuse addictions treatment. BCD provides Intensive and Non-Intensive outpatient chemical dependence services. Having both levels of care allows programmatic flexibility to meet the varying needs of BCD clients. For dual diagnosis conditions, clients can also be seen in Bleuler's Mental Health Clinic.

We are a a self-pay clinic providing intensive outpatient day treatment and a full range of on-site psychiatric, medical, substance abuse, psycho-social, and rehabilitation services. Our services are available to people 18 years and older. As an integral part of the Columbia Psychiatry network of care, our clients have access to a full spectrum of care, with seamless delivery of services from inpatient to outpatient and from psychiatric to substance abuse and medical services. In an atmosphere of caring support, clients receive personalized, comprehensive outpatient treatment, life skills training, and psychiatric rehabilitation services, with an emphasis on getting back to work, school, and independent living. Treatment is largely provided in a group format, with some clients receiving additional support from a staff Recovery Coach or individual therapist. All clients participating in treatment in the Lieber Clinic continue to be under the care of a primary psychiatrist. Affordable fee psychotherapy and psychoanalysis offered in various location throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Treatment is held in the private offices of the psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and other mental health professionals who are in advanced training at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Education (IPE), affiliated with NYU School of Medicine. The $50 Application fee entitles you to up to three in-person consultations with a therapist who will then make a treatment recommendation and either facilitate a referral to an experienced training candidate or recommend that you continue in treatment with the consulting therapist.
