Our Services
Upstate New York Eating Disorder Service - Nutrition Service and Sol Stone Center is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for individuals struggling with an eating disorder. We offer a full continuum of services, including Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) with overnight residence. Outpatient and IOP services are available through Nutrition Service in Elmira, Syracuse, Ithaca, and Binghamton, NY. PHP services are provided at Sol Stone Center in Elmira, NY. This comprehensive range of care allows us to tailor treatment to each individual's needs. 
The Program
The Intensive Outpatient Program is group-based and provides a full range of multidisciplinary services including: group psychotherapy, art therapy, yoga, DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) skill-focused groups as well as supervised eating and goal setting. The program, for males and females ages 16 and older, is 3 evenings a week, 4:30pm-7:30pm. You may be self-referred or by your clinician, family, or treatment center. Individuals in the IOP continue with their outpatient therapist. If you do not have an outpatient team, we will provide referrals. Why You?
Intensive outpatient services are right for you if you are in transition from a higher level of care or if you are in outpatient treatment and need additional support. If you are not a current patient of the Nutrition or Sol Stone Center an initial evaluation will be scheduled. This will include a comprehensive nutritional assessment including metabolic testing, body composition analysis, and a clinic interview. Individuals admitted to the IOP must have an individual therapist, a referral will be provided if you need one. We participate with many insurances. Prior to coming to the IOP, our program manager will review your insurance benefits to see if there is any out-of-pocket costs. We provider partial scholarships to individuals whose insurance doesn't provide coverage and for those who can't afford care. Payment plans are also an option. Take the first step to help.
