NorthStar Transitions Drug and Alcohol Rehab

NorthStar Transitions is a licensed and Joint Commission accredited drug and alcohol treatment program serving adult men and women. NorthStar offers detox, residential (inpatient) and outpatient treatment services. NorthStar is an in-network provider for United Healthcare, Cigna, Anthem BCBS, Humana, UC Health, Mines and Associates and Poudre Valley School System. At the residential level of care, clients live in a luxury Colorado style lodge on over 53 acres in the mountains just outside of Boulder. At the outpatient level of care, NorthStar clients live in high-end sober living homes in the heart of Boulder, Colorado where they are offered semi-private bedrooms, a weekly food budget and gym membership. Clients participate in day treatment (PHP) and/or intensive outpatient (IOP) throughout their 12 week stay in the program. Clients are encouraged to work or be in school while participating in IOP. Clients in NorthStar's drug and alcohol treatment program are breathalyzed twice daily and given urine drug screens 2-3 times per week to ensure sobriety. Each client is offered 4 hours per week of individual one-on-one case management to help clients reach vocational, academic and other goals. Most insurances are accepted. NorthStar Transitions's Groups

Day Treatment

A combination of group therapy, individual therapy and psychiatric care. Group meets 5 days per week for 2-4 weeks. Intensive substance abuse treatment for clients who need the maximum amount of structure without going inpatient.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Intensive outpatient (IOP) meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in either the morning or evening from 9:30am-12:30pm or from 5:30pm-8:30pm. Clients pick one group and remain with that cohort throughout the 12 week curriculum. The curriculum is skill based helping clients to develop practical skills and develop education around addiction and substance abuse. Clients also see an individual therapist weekly, psychiatrist monthly and submit 2-3 urine drug screens per week.
