Since 1992, Nexus Health Systems has provided specialty care for patients with medical, behavioral, and psychiatric needs. The True North Residential Program at Nexus Neurorecovery Center – San Antonio provides medical-model inpatient residential treatment for teen females, ages 13 to 17, with complex behavioral and psychiatric needs. We serve patients from across Texas and the country, accepting most major insurance plans and Medicaid. Our True North Residential Program bridges the gap between mental and physical healthcare, integrating psychiatry, medicine, and psychotherapy under one interdisciplinary team. Treatment is individualized and includes 24/7 medical care, therapy (CBT, DBT, EMDR), trauma-informed therapy, medication management, and concurrent TEA-accredited education. About our facility
The facility has spaces to heal, grow and connect: dedicated therapy spaces for cognitive processing therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and family therapy; learning room for residents to continue or accelerate academic progress; outdoor therapeutic horticulture area. All in a controlled environment with anti-barricade doors and badge access required throughout.
