Teen Outpatient Program
Newport Academy’s co-ed outpatient program in Charlotte serves teens ages 12–17 who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns. Through a comprehensive, evidence-based plan tailored for each client and incorporating a robust family therapy component, we help teens and families reestablish healthy communication and connection. We meet the social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of each client through a structured daily schedule that includes individual and group therapy sessions, experiential modalities, and time in the classroom focusing on academics and life skills. Our Clinical Model
Our integrated approach includes psychiatric care and medication management, utilizing clinical and experiential modalities to address the underlying trauma that catalyzes mental health and co-occurring disorders. Our modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT). What Makes Us Different
When an adolescent is in crisis, there are often attachment ruptures within the family. Family therapy is at the core of our treatment model, helping to heal childhood traumas and strengthen parent-child connection.
