Full Continuum of Care
We provide a full continuum of care at our locations around the country, including residential treatment centers; a full suite of outpatient programming, with Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient services with a flexible number of days per week; telehealth; and alumni programming. At this location we treat females ages 13-20. All of our programs have received accreditation from the Joint Commission for Behavioral Healthcare, the nation’s most respected healthcare accreditation body. Our continuing care program provides ongoing support through virtual sessions, and our robust Alumni department keeps former clients connected through online and in-person events and support groups. Whether an adolescent needs a higher level of care, is stepping down from residential care and needs continued structure and community in our Partial Hospitalization Program, or needs several days per week of after-school support through our outpatient services option, our range of programming meets each young person and family where they are. Nationally Accredited Academics
At Newport Academy, academic and life skills education is an integral part of the treatment experience. Our licensed and highly trained teachers and tutors work closely with students, parents, and their current school to create a customized academic plan informed by a combination of psychoeducational test results, current transcripts, and state curriculum standards. Clients earn credits and improve their study skills and motivation, sometimes for the first time, while receiving the comprehensive treatment they need to heal. Our strengths-based approach to education recognizes that learning, like every other aspect of a young person’s experience, is inextricably intertwined with their self-esteem, well-being, and sense of empowerment. As teens progress in treatment, we see their academic engagement and motivation improve along with their mental health measures. Our goal is to ensure that our clients are set up for success when they return to their home school, with the tools they need to thrive in the academic environment. Insurance/In-Network Provider
Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Academy offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many adolescents who receive treatment from Newport Academy using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Academy maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. While other facilities may charge for this service, we feel it is our responsibility to assist families with what can be a complex process. Our goal is to ensure that families receive the maximum coverage, so they can access the highest-quality treatment.
