At New Horizons Recovery Centers we provide outstanding outpatient services to adults struggling with mental health issues or addictions or both. We work with clients who have experienced trauma, who face challenges in their relationships or who struggle to maintain a healthy and productive lifestyle. If anxiety, depression or bipolar disorder are keeping you from living the life you want, or if you find yourself in an endless cycle of addictive behaviors, New Horizons will provide you with the tools to build a better tomorrow. We help you identify and defeat the thoughts that keep you trapped emotionally. We teach skills to change behaviors that are self-defeating and counter productive. We help clients explore and effectively process past trauma or negative life experiences in a gentle and supportive way. We work with clients to improve their communication skills, rebuild damaged relationships and elevate self-esteem. Treatment is about change. At New Horizons Recovery Centers we offer five-day-a-week group therapy from 9 a.m. -3 p.m., half day group therapy from 9-noon, individual and family therapy and medication management. Our group therapy is focused on building healthy and effective coping skills and utilizes a range of proven methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Through mindfulness practices, yoga and drama therapy, our clients build a strong mind-body connection, which is fundamental to a healthy, meaningful and productive life. During the group process, clients work on conflict resolution and effective communication styles to rebuild trust and foster rewarding relationships. In both individual and group, clients explore the underlying mental health issues and life experiences that contribute to addiction, interfere with daily functioning or disrupt healthy and meaningful connections. Every client works with a Treatment Team comprised of a therapist and a nurse practitioner, and we encourage family engagement in the healing process.
