Teens and adolescents abuse drugs and/or alcohol for various reasons, ranging from peer pressure and showing independence, to overcoming depression or anxiety. The risk of your teen becoming an addict can substantially go up if there are factors such as a family history of addiction, mental issues or disorders, childhood trauma, or problems at school. We have a team of caring professionals at New Hope Healthcare who understand the complexities of how your teen might be experiencing co-occurring disorders due to addiction and mental health factors.
