Outpatient Treatment
Lakeland Behavioral Health offers clinically excellent outpatient care for children and adolescents ages 8-17 who are suffering from mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Our intensive outpatient program (IOP), the Evolve IOP, is designed to help youths reintegrate into their homes and schools after completing inpatient treatment. Youths can step down to our IOP from our inpatient program, or they can enter it directly if they are already medically stable. Children and teens who participate in our EVOLVE adolescent IOP can benefit from the collective experience of our multidisciplinary team of mental health and medical professionals. The team at Lakeland includes psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, registered nurses, physician assistants, recreational therapists, and dietitians. Together, we work with each young patient to understand their background and unique needs so that we can design a personalized treatment plan for them. Treatment Approach
At Lakeland, our intensive outpatient program is designed to help adolescents learn new skills, build self-confidence, and achieve their therapeutic goals. A young person’s customized treatment plan may include group and family therapy sessions as well as basic medical care and medication management services. We are aware of the unique needs youths might have as they go through the challenging developmental phases of adolescence. As they experience physical, emotional, and cognitive changes, adolescents can benefit from developmentally specific care. In our adolescent IOP, we deliver therapies and services in age-appropriate ways that can help young people heal and thrive. Specifically, we provide trauma-informed care and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help youths alter negative thought patterns and develop effective coping strategies. Our Treatment Center
Our adolescent outpatient treatment center serves the youths of Springfield, Missouri, and its surrounding suburbs. At Lakeland Behavioral Health System, we are committed to providing clinically excellent care that is personalized and age-appropriate. Our adolescent outpatient program is designed to empower each young patient to take an active part in their healing journey. On average, adolescents spend nine to 12 hours per week in our Evolve IOP for about four weeks. If you believe that a loved one could benefit from participation in our adolescent IOP, the first step is to contact an admissions specialist at our treatment center. Our admissions team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer your questions and provide an admissions assessment for your loved one. Based on the assessment, we can determine whether our outpatient treatment center is the ideal place for them. Once your loved one is admitted to our outpatient treatment center, we can introduce them to their care team and give them a tour of our campus.
