Burkwood Treatment Center offers a unique and engaging combination of therapies to help people embrace recovery as a way of life. The treatment modalities we may incorporate into a person’s residential care plan include the Making Alcoholics Anonymous Easier (MAAEZ) program, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Twelve Step Facilitation (TSF), and our Way of Life System. At our residential addiction treatment center, we also offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or EMDR. EMDR is a therapy that is designed to help people find healing after experiencing trauma and other distressing life events. At our IOP location, we also provide highly focused programming that includes evidence-based approaches. We primarily use dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), CBT, and the 12-Step recovery model to help people in our intensive outpatient program achieve their therapeutic goals. By participating in our continuum of quality addiction care, adults can learn recovery skills, receive research-backed therapies, and benefit from peer support during group therapy sessions.
