Comprehensive Psychiatric Care

We are an innovative psychiatric clinic for complex psychiatric disorders, offering distinctive outpatient services using a personalized, customized, and multidisciplinary approach to treating a broad range of psychiatric disorders. The continuum of care includes Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for those struggling with severe depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, substance abuse, eating disorders, and behavioral problems requiring more intensive care to E Street Housing that includes 24x7 supervised residential care as well as trauma treatment for those with PTSD and co-occurring issues. From outpatient to transitional care include: Psychiatric evaluation, Pharmacological treatment of addiction including Suboxone® and other detoxification assistance and monitoring, Individual psychotherapy, Family therapy, Medication management, Case management, Group therapy, Mindfulness-based psychotherapy, DBT skills, Dynamic psychotherapy groups, Multi-family group therapy and Other customized groups, as well technology-assisted treatment including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Diagnostic imaging including EEG scanning.

Intensive Programs (IOP, PHP, Transition Care)

IOP/PHP are designed for adults requiring more intensive treatment and who do not meet the criteria for inpatient treatment: Individual Psychotherapy, Family Therapy, Personalized Case Manager Psychiatric Medication Management, Comprehensive Psychiatric/Neuropsychological Evaluation, Group Therapy - focusing on maintaining stability, stress reduction, emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, Education and Coaching. An in-depth behavioral health treatment program, IOP is designed to help clients strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, develop practical life skills and create growth in important relationships. PHP assists with a primary psychiatric diagnosis requiring intensive support and structure without 24-hour supervision. PHP, sometimes an alternative or a step-down from hospital or residential programs, is a comprehensive, short-term, intensive treatment for: depression, anxiety, and extreme mood problems, substance abuse, solation, thoughts of suicide or homicide, distress tolerance, trauma-related problems, Interpersonal conflict. PHP promotes emotional stabilization, symptom reduction and improvement of social and functional living skills.

Supportive Housing @ E Street House

Our collaboration with E Street House in San Rafael provides a nurturing home environment for those adults on their mental health wellness growth journey, either enrolled in our programs or who work with other mental health professionals. Residents at E Street House live in an all-gender, structured, therapeutically-oriented community setting designed to assist each individual gather and practice new skills, health, and mental balance. Services offered at E Street House include: Resident support services, Individual support of therapy assignments, Support in exploring work, volunteer, or school opportunities, Time management and self-care support Development of sustainable independent living skills, cultivation of mental wellness and a balanced lifestyle is the focus of life at E Street House. We work with residents on essential life skills such as time management, personal organization, capacity to follow through with projects, cooking, budgeting, and self-nurturing skills from maintaining good hygiene to yoga & meditation.

Mindfulness-Based Group Therapy

Stress, overwhelming emotion, and pain may have you feeling irritable, tense, depressed and anxious, which impacts your entire life. Mindfulness-based approaches to healing the body and mind are highly effective and can even change our brain. Mindfulness meditation has proven to help individuals reduce stress, pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, cravings and increase overall quality of life and well-being. Our Mindfulness-Based Group Therapy will guide you to well-being utilizing psychoeducation, mindfulness meditation, yoga and group discussion. Group members are highly encouraged to enhance their experience by implementing a consistent practice of mindfulness.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

In this group, Stephanie White, an experienced professional Clinical Counselor and Family Therapist will help members identify and correct unhealthy patterns in their thinking. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy explores the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Members will work towards enhancing awareness of negative thoughts and beliefs in addition to identifying and achieving behavioral goals. Through discussions, learning new concepts/skills, completing worksheets, and role playing/practicing, members will learn to challenge and replace unhelpful thinking styles and beliefs. Cognitive and behavioral changes lead to emotional growth and healing.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy/STAIR Skills

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment model that helps people who struggle with patterns of chaos and distress learn new ways to cope. Members study skill modules including Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Core Mindfulness to reduce impulsivity and self-harm behaviors and develop more emotionally stable lives worth living. Skills Training in Affect and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR) is a treatment that supports recovery from trauma by focusing on emotional awareness, emotional regulation, understanding relationship patterns, building an autobiography and identifying current difficulties as based in past traumas and letting them go.
