The Mind Body Co-op is Chicago's premiere space to discover and explore what is occurring internally at the cognitive, emotional, and physical levels. This unique, holistic approach to treatment of trauma, co-dependence, addiction, unmanageability with food, and mood disorders provides clients an opportunity to heal holistically and efficiently. Somatic and Healing Movement

Somatic Experiencing, Reiki, Nia, Healing Movement & Meditation are open to all individuals looking to benefit from the calm, focus, and balance that comes with gaining body awareness and how it holds emotion. If you have had difficulty staying present, both physically and emotionally and you have spent time in individual therapy, focusing on your body will likely help you unlock past traumas and the related sensations that are keeping you in a hauntingly familiar pattern.

Women only long-term, process oriented Group Psychotherapy that focuses on how past traumas impact our every day life. Members gain insight and achieve growth through the processes bridging the impact of trauma physically and emotionally and learning new ways of coping with the residual impact of trauma.

DBT Skills Group

In DBT, four skills modules are designed to specifically assist individuals cope and respond to daily stressors. Mindfulness is designed to teach a person how to focus their mind and attention. Distress tolerance is centered on accepting the current situation and finding ways to survive and tolerate the moment without engaging in problematic behavior. Emotion regulation skills include learning to identify and label current emotions, identifying obstacles to changing emotions, reducing emotional reactivity, increasing positive emotions, and changing emotions. Finally, interpersonal effectiveness skills teach effective strategies for asking for what one needs, saying no, and coping with interpersonal conflict.
